Summary



Louis was born in New Orleans in 1878. for the sake of his family, he repressed his homosexuality and made money as a pimp. his quiet sorrow and rage attracted a French vampire, Lestat, to develop an obsession on him. Louis tried to keep his distance, but after his brother's suicide he finally cracked and in his desperation accepted Lestat's offer to make him a vampire. even though they had a passionate love affair, Louis was unfortunately not cut out for vampire life.

Louis trying to abstain from human blood caused a rift between him and Lestat. the depressive episodes also became more frequent as Louis realized he had no place in society or in his human family. as an attempt to fix their vampire marriage Lestat made a dying little girl into Louis' immortal companion. it was an effort doomed to fail, but for a while things were good and sweet. eventually Claudia, however, became resentful of her body that would never reach puberty and wanted to find other vampires. in his fear of abandonment Lestat became a paranoid, jealous tyrant unwilling to trust his husband and child. one particularly cruel fight was the turning point. Louis was temporarily crippled after being dropped from the sky and in result didn't speak with Lestat for seven years.

their reunion was inevitable, but this time the family time was toxic and unhappy. each of them made compromises they couldn't stand: Lestat promised he wouldn't keep secrets (he did) and Louis promised he would kill again, which he hated. again, Lestat wouldn't let Claudia leave, so the only way out was to murder Lestat. she talked Louis into doing it, but he chickened out at the last minute, which allowed Lestat to survive.

Louis and Claudia escaped to Europe where they found other vampires and a new life, but Louis is still haunted by his longing for Lestat. he's burdened by the guilt he feels for hurting him and betraying Claudia.

    The emotion that created Louis' servitor is rage. the repressed aggression that first built up during his life as a human, when he was forced to hide his identity and to serve the white men of the town. the unhinged violence that slowly grew inside him when he denied himself human blood. the burning anger that later flared in his dealings with Lestat and eventually with the coven in Paris.

    description: the monster is inspired by the Blood-starved Beast of Bloodborne. it's a deformed, skeletal creature whose skin is peeled off and hanging from its back. it runs on four legs and slashes with its front claws. if caught in its jaws, the servitor will attempt to suck its victim dry. its movements are erratic and fast. the creature is so devoid of blood it bleeds poison.

    behavior:thirst has made the creature hostile and unpredictable, likely to attack without any warning. like Louis, it may seem rather fragile at first, but can do a terrible amount of damage. the servitor is drawn to those who feel wronged and want to lash out. it encourages wrath and retaliation.

    abilities & weaknesses: the servitor uses frontal attacks which inflict poison by touch. if the creature is wounded, it will also bleed poisonous smoke. the best strategy against it are long ranged weapons and magic. it's a violent creature that is fueled by rage, so there's no pattern to its movements. the servitor is weak against sunlight that will cause its skin to catch fire.
